Sylvester Stallone is a TV star now, teaming up with Taylor Sheridan for the mob crime drama Tulsa King, a Paramount Plus original series. Below I write about How to Watch Tulsa King for FREE!

While Sheridan is on board as the creator and executive producer, Emmy-winning writer Terence Winter (The Sopranos) is serving as the series showrunner and writer.

Tulsa King is just one of many projects that Taylor Sheridan has lined up with Paramount. The "Sheridan-verse" includes Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, 1883 and the upcoming series 1923, Lioness and 1883: The Bass Reeves Story.

Tulsa King puts Sylvester Stallone in the role of Dwight "The General" Manfredi, a mafia capo who just served a whole 25-year sentence in prison. His reward? Civil banishment, as mob boss Charles "Chickie" Invernizzi (The Wire's Domenick Lombardozzi, sporting hair like we've never seen) says the family wants him to set up a new front in Tulsa, OK.

There, Dwight looks to build a new team, including his driver, Tyson (Jay Will of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). Manfredi then decides the legal weed game needs his kind of protection, strong-arming Bodhi (Silicon Valley's Martin Starr).

But, then, a motorcycle gang shows up to make Dwight's Tulsa life extra hard. He finds allies in Margaret (Dana Delaney) and others who are more familiar with the territory.

Watch the Tulsa King Trailer

Paramount+ launched a teaser trailer of Tulsa King in October 2022, followed by a full-length, official trailer just a couple of weeks later. While the first clip teases the audience into the story and Stallone’s character, where he seems and feels very out of place, the second video gives you the actual taste of what’s coming. The teaser clip is just a glimpse into Stallone’s fearless and ambitious Dwight Manfredi, who is just getting out of prison after a long sentence and trying to adapt to his new life, starting all over again.

The official trailer, on the other hand, shows Manfredi as the new mafia capo of Tulsa who assumes his authority and power over the city’s underworld. What’s common in both trailers is the explosive sequences, lots of firepower, some dark humor, and Stallone’s signature style of delivery. It looks like there’s a lot of thrill and action in store in the very first season (hoping that there’ll be more of the show) of Tulsa King. After all, you can expect nothing less from the action star.
